When I was in the 6th grade I walked to school. Everyday. Not once did I take the bus. Not because there was not a bus to take. Not that I did not like taking the bus. I suppose just wanted to prove to myself that I could walk to school. Everyday. Rain or shine.
Just this year I decided to stop watching television. Even canceled the cable service. This was back in February of this year.
This might sound extreme. But I know that I could not just walk more often or watch less television. It must be all or none.
When it came to starting a blog, I needed a system that I could follow. One that would not allow me to opt out. So I made a deal with a friend that we must keep each other accountable and blog consistently. But how? Another good friend, the communicatrix told us that she uses a method called a “21-Day Salute”. 21 straight days of blogging about a specific topic. Perfect!
I now know that for the next 21 days I will be posting to this very blog.
In a world that looks down upon extreme behavior (and I have to agree in many instances) there must be some good that comes out of extreme methods. And there is. Being extreme can also be used to accomplish a lot of good.
So there you have it, the topic for the next 21 days, “Extreme = Good”.
